Continuing education and training (CET) courses

Continuing education and training (CET) courses are offered at all Austrian higher education institutions, such as public universities, private universities, universities of applied sciences and university colleges of teacher education. Admission requirements vary and are set by the university in question. Applicants may be required to have an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification such as a degree or diploma from a non-university educational institution and/or several years of professional experience.
The title awarded upon graduation is also determined by the particular university. The modular design of the courses means that various qualifications are possible, e.g. certificate, academic …… (with an additional designation characterising the content of the course in question) and master’s degrees. Academic titles include MA – Master of Arts and MSc – Master of Science, as well as LL.M – Master of Laws or MBA – Master of Business Administration. The duration of the courses depends on the number of ECTS points or the organisational form, such as full-time or part-time.

For more detailed information about the courses available, admission and studying requirements, and the costs of attendance, please visit the relevant universities’ websites. The information can generally be found in the continuing education and training (CET) and postgraduate studies sections.
