Austrian Youth Strategy
The Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research contributes to the implementation of the Austrian Youth Strategy with its own Youth Goals and measures.
The Austrian Youth Strategy is an ongoing process to strengthen and develop youth policy in Austria. In September 2020, the Austrian Federal Government decided on the joint continuation of the Youth Strategy. Based on the fields of action in the Youth Strategy, each federal ministry has developed Youth Goals backed by specific measures.

Implementation by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research
Within the framework of the Austrian Youth Strategy, the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research has set the following Youth Goals, which will over time be backed up with specific measures.
- Acquisition of basic skills
- Civic education and education for sustainable development
- Participation in science and research
- Health through the promotion of social and emotional skills
- Digital/media literacy
