Background information

The European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research is an intergovernmental organisation affiliated with the United Nations and works on all aspects of social welfare policy.

It defines its fields of research as work & welfare and health & care.

The European Centre is financed mainly by the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMSGPK) but also receives annual funding from the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) and the City of Vienna.
